Summertime and the livin’s easy!

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Hello everyone! Thanks for checking out our website again! It’s a great way to keep up to date with what is going on in Alpha Xi’s world…and boy has there been a LOT going on since the last post! First and foremost, we’d like to say congratulations to all of our seniors and other ladies graduating this year. Each and every one of you will be missed terribly. Another huge accomplishment we had last month was a birthday…a 115 year old birthday that is! Our chapter at UCF, Theta Sigma, celebrated its milestone birthday, as well as our Founder’s Day, with a beautiful brunch that included many alumnae. Some other activities we’ve been up to include our annual Killarney Ball Formal, which took place at Hard Rock Hotel this year; our annual Daddy-Daughter Day, which consisted of Laser Tag and Mellow Mushroom Pizza; and finally, our 3rd place win in Sigma Chi’s Derby Day! On a more important note, if ANY woman who goes to UCF is interested in sorority recruitment this year, you should seriously consider signing up by going to www.ucfpanhellenic.com. There are tons of questions and answers that should help you decide! Keep checking the website for new updates, and enjoy your summer!

Spring has Sprung!

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Hey everyone! Sorry it’s taken a while to update the site but we have had a LOT going on! First, we participated in Viking Week with Alpha Tau Omega which was tons of fun. After that it was UCF’s spring break so we all took a vacation…most of us even travelled together to places like the Keys, the Bahamas, and South Florida. As soon as we got back it was time for XI MAN, which is our annual philanthropy to choose our sorority sweetheart. Austin Purvis from Theta Chi won and we raised over $7,000 for the Beta Center, our local philanthropy. This week is Greek Week, where all the fraternities and sororities on campus are paired up to compete in many different events, and our partners are Lamda Chi Alpha. Wish us luck! Make sure to check back soon for a new update and new pictures!
